Lionsgate is a family run riding school situated in the Ayrshire countryside, 4 miles from Ayr town centre. It is a fully licensed riding school and is inspected on a regular basis by South Ayrshire Council. Lionsgate is open all year round, with an outdoor school and clean, tidy stables and yard. The services we provide include: riding lessons, pony days and livery.
This is very popular amongst young riders. A chance to be at the stables with the ponies all day, to groom, tack up and help to look after ponies and 2 lessons or hack & lesson per day, stable management, as well as having fun and making new friends. We collect personal information via a Rider Registration form that is required by our insurance.

My daughter has started riding at this establishment. The riding school is really accomplished. I enjoy watching my daughter learning new aspects and skills. She has significantly improved. The staff, especially the head trainer/stable manager has a fantastic approach. Pushing the boundaries and encouraging the horse riders in the correct manner. I am very very impressed.
I can't wait to see her progression.

Great to see adults taking group& very welcoming. Felt safe to leave children with them. Attended a pony day which the kids reported they didn't do much& didn't have much riding time. For the last 1 1/2hrs we were there& kids did nothing during that whole time. Other pony days elsewhere had kids mucking out, feeding, grooming, learning about equipment, doing activities such as quiz/picture drawing. This was lacking here.
