For your Hardware and DIY needs, visit Carpenters, Traditional Ironmongers, 5 Cattle Market, Sandwich, Kent CT13 9AE. T. R. & C. Carpenter was established in 1951 as a family ironmongers and tool merchants, building up over many years an enviable reputation for stock and service.

The owner, Jennifer Wilkie, with many years of DIY and retail experience, aim to preserve this, and whilst retaining all the traditional features, also increase stock ranges to suit modern day requirements.Jenny with her husband Michael took over from the Carpenter family in 2004. Great little place, well I say little it's like a TARDIS, you go in and there's more and more. Lots of stuff, one of those places you start browsing and making jobs for yourself around the house. The staff are friendly, approachable and helpful.

Carpenters always good - usually can get what you want - rarely come out without buying something!!!! Staff so helpful - if they haven't got what you want they will always order it. Lovely shop - bit like an Alladins cave!!!!
