Services
Rapid Dispatch was founded as a partnership in 1987 to initially operate same day deliveries in small vans throughout the UK from its Ipswich base. Increasing its services and deliveries considerably since then, it has seen the need to relocate twice within Ipswich.
Rapid Dispatch has successfully teamed up with APC Overnight and has the ability to offer further network services, which now also include overnight deliveries for larger/heavier items via our pallet network, international deliveries, via airfreight, and dedicated same day delivery for anything that can be accommodated on a motorcycle up to 3.5 tonnes.

We offer overnight delivery services in conjunction with APC Overnight for parcels up to a maximum of 30kg per item. We also provide a bag service with courier packs holding a maximum of 5kg and mail packs holding a maximum of 1kg. We specialise in timed deliveries, giving you flexible options for urgent packages.
The Alternative Parcels Company Ltd only accepts goods through its network subject to its conditions of Carriage 2016. APC Overnight (The Alternative Parcels Company Ltd) along with its Depots and Agents are not insurance companies and do not sell insurance. If you wish to purchase alternative insurance you will need to contact an insurance company or broker.
We have fantastic opportunities with Immediate starts available for delivery drivers with experience of delivering excellent customer service. We are a customer focused company providing dynamic solutions to our clients' delivery requirements. I use Rapid Dispatch for my business deliveries and have for the last few years. The service is on the whole very good. When dealing with lots of fragile deliveries, obviously there are a few bumps in the road, but the packages travel through a long network, so can't attribute to Rapid. The customer service team are super helpful and a pleasure to deal with. Would recommend these guys as a delivery partner.

What a great company you are sacking a young man who worked really hard for your company just because he missed a delivery - which actually was the fault of your manager. You should be thoroughly ashamed of yourselves as a company affecting the life of a young man who through no fault of his own now finds himself out of a job. I will make sure the facts get spread about social media as much as I can and show what a shoddy company you are in relation to how you treat your employees.

I had exactly he same experience as Nigel. There was no tracking info, no indication of when it would be delivered, the driver did not bother to put a card through the letter box, nor initiate any other form of communication. But the real crime is that Rapid Dispatch then attempted to charge £22.50 for a second delivery attempy from Ipswich!! This is surely unethical behaviour - taking the money and no delivery or refund. The person posting the item ended up resolving to drive the item themselves, so badly were they burned by this shocking experience.

Terrible company. Avoid if possible. If you are out, the driver does NOT bother to put a card through the letter box (nor initiate any other form of communication) but worse still they do not bother to attempt redelivery. So your urgent item just sits for days on their shelf at Cliff Quay in Ipswich!! This has happened to me on EVERY occasion!

For customer service, pretty awful. Claimed to have put a ticket through my door to say they'd been but I was in the house all day & no ticket had been put through my door. They claimed my address was wrong but the post office would beg to differ.
Speaking on the phone to them I found the man rude and he said he wanted to make sure I got my parcel so as not to let the sender down. Sod the sender, was about the receiver!
