Services
In-house Mechanical Design using our Autodesk Inventor 'ULTIMATE' Product Design Suite; enhanced features include Finite Element Analysis (FEA), Dynamic Simulation, Frame Analysis, Frame Generator, Tube & Pipe Generator and Sheet Metal Constructor. All Electrical Design is carried out in-house using AutoCAD LT.
Often the basic machine structures are in good mechanical condition with the major cause of machine breakdown relating to unreliable and obsolete Controls and electrics. A CNC Retrofit, in its basic form, comprises the replacement of the existing NC/CNC system with a new, state-of-the-art, more flexible and powerful CNC.
CNC retrofits provide state-of-the-art control technology, but they assume that the base machine structure is in good mechanical condition. Where machines have lost their accuracy and/or are breaking down on a regular basis, EES offer a machine refurbishment service.
The extent of the refurbishment varies from machine to machine; this ranges from a partial overhaul, to correct known faults or inaccuracies, to a full machine rebuild where the machine is stripped to component level, slideways reground to restore accuracy/alignment, damaged and worn parts refurbished or replaced and the machine rebuilt to manufacturers original tolerances and in accordance with BS 4656.

Growing competition from overseas suppliers is forcing UK manufacturers, now more than ever, to review their manufacturing techniques and improve productivity; machine utilisation is key to this requirement but often commercially off-the-shelf (COTS) machines do not provide the flexibility required to enable manufacturers to make the most of their investment.
Widely recognised as one of europes leading CNC Retrofit & Machine Tool Refurbishment specialists, EES has re-engineered and re-manufactured a wide variety of machines from several manufacturers over the past 25 years, including Butler, Webster & Bennett, Schiess, Giddings & Lewis, Asquith, Kearns, Morando, OMBA, Marwin, Heid, Union, Noble & Lund, Innse, Skoda, Huron, Droop & Rein, Boehringer, Cincinnati, SIP, Hoesch, Wohlenberg, Waldrich, Craven, ELB, TOS, Bohle, TBT, Maho, Herkules, Devlieg, Burkhardt & Weber, Snow, DSG and many more.
