Hello, our names are Derek and Carol; we have owned and run Corks and Cases Wine Merchants in Masham since 2011. Derek's brother Stuart also works alongside us a couple of days a week too, he retired as a director of his own company and has helped the business grow in its formative years, and our dachshund "Pinot" joined the business in 2016.
The Gin Experience takes place at our "Spirit of Masham" Distillery. Your experience will start with a welcoming Gin and Tonic followed by a tour of the distillery to meet our stills, little Stan and big Stan and to see how we distil our "Spirit of Masham" Dry Yorkshire Gin. More complimentary drinks will be served, including our special cocktails.

The "Spirit of Masham" Dry Yorkshire Gin is an Artisan Gin, created by Corks and Cases of Masham. The Gin is handcrafted and is produced in small batches in a copper alembic still using the London Dry Gin method. Our "Spirit of Masham" Gin is a unique flavour filled gin with an aromatic nose.
The "Spirit of Masham" is distilled using the botanicals from our very own distinctive Corks and Cases Masala Chai Tea with the addition of hops that give the gin a lemon finish The addition of the hops represents the rich brewing history of Masham.There are of course a few "secret" botanicals which all assist in making this an amazing and exclusive Gin.

Our Masala Chai Tea contains two high level plantation whole leaf Orange Pekoe Ceylon teas, which we blend together. We then take six different spices, some of which are toasted to release their oils and blend this with the tea. Then we add Australian Eucalyptus Honey to create our distinctive and unique recipe.

Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. Great selection of wine, beer and their own excellent gin. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area. It's so nice that there are still shops like this around rather than everything being taken over by the big supermarkets. There's also an online shop so you can also order and have delivered. Excellent!
