Services
Precast Concrete Window Sills (or "cills" as they're sometimes referred to) are used below windows and ledges. They are an important architectural feature to any building but also provide the seating for an airtight seal with the window frame, preventing water ingress. The outward slope of the sill directs rainwater away from the frame and a drip channel on the underside prevents staining and deterioration of the outer skin of the building.
Hughes manufacture, supply and deliver a wide range of precast concrete lintels. Stocking a wide range of sizes and lengths to allow for quick turnaround and competitive pricing. The 'dry-cast' production technique used to manufacture reinforced lintels results in a high strength, low water/cement ratio mix.
Builders and Architects use concrete quoins as a simple, cost friendly yet highly effective means of adding strength and firmness to a building. A light colour, smooth finish and chamfered edge make Hughes concrete quoins a popular choice among homeowners. Our team carefully manufacture quoins using only quality raw materials with the end result being a durable and attractive quoin stone.
Concrete chimney caps or chimney copings are available in a plain or moulded / tiered finish. The Chimney cap should hang over the block/brickwork by approx 2 either side, so be sure to build the chimney according to how you want to finish it! This cap has a narrower bottom layer and a slightly wider top layer to produce a tiered effect as shown.
