Services
C A Upton & Son was established by Clive Upton who had followed his father and grandfather into the family business, and is now run by his son, David. However, David can trace his family history back to his great grandfather, Harry, who was working in Hastings Old Town as an upholsterer or coach trimmer in 1881.
Hoods - We make and fit bespoke hoods. We also supply and fit hoods as well as have a fitting only service for hoods supplied by you. All hoods made or supplied by us are guaranteed. We also make and fit tonneau covers and hood bags. Vinyl roof coverings or topping can also replaced. Seat Repairs - We cover a wide range of work from minor repairs to full re-building, re-trimming, and covering.

I cannot praise too highly, the equisite and painstakingly-perfect craftsmanship, the exemplary customer care and also the old-fashioned courtesy that Dave and Jo Upton have undertaken. I entrusted my Austin Healey 3000 to them for a bespoke hood and tonneau and am more than delighted with the better-than-professional results and regular 'WhatsApp' updates. So much so, that I've already booked a place in their diary next year for a re-carpet; following my erroneous purchase of an 'off the peg' carpet set from a well-known major supplier - which needless to say - simply didn't fit!
