The Company was formed following the merger of the practices of Alistair Davidson and Mark Stant. Alistair formed his business, AH Davidson & Co, in 1985 and served the Warrington and North West business community for over 25 years. Today Mark heads up the Practice as in 1985 he was only just beginning his working life as a trainee accountant in a big four accountancy practice in London.
From the moment you make your first contact and ask for Anita Lavelle you will notice the personal, professional and friendly approach we offer our clients. We will offer you a free face to face meeting with Mark Stant to discuss your requirements in detail and how we can help you. We don't believe in a one size fits all approach which is now becoming standard practice with accountants.
At Davidson Stant we see the role of Trusted Adviser to be that of demonstrating the required ability, reliability and working in an honest and open way with clients. As Advisers our role over years of experience has often gone beyond that of being Accountants preparing accounts and tax returns to being business mentors, consultants, and on occasions, counsellors to our clients.
Audits are often seen by companies as a necessary evil but our approach is to highlight the positives. Audits are a legal requirement for companies of a certain size, registered charities and some other organisations. An independent review of the business to ensure that proper accounting procedures and controls are in place to give you peace of mind as to the financial integrity of internally produced financial information.

Reliable and constant . Staff longstanding and do not change . Even small businesses get senior staff and you are not dealing with a new junior every year. They are dependable . They are responsive to requests and make time to talk to you . Anita is extremely efficient. Sholto is always a joy to deal with and Margaret was incredible

I can't rate the professional accounting services offered by Davidson Stant highly enough. Although I'm only a small business, they've gone above and beyond to support me both while growing my business, and also through the recent pandemic crisis. They're always friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble. Since working with them, I've had a much better grasp on my finances, and as a sole trader, I've been able to use this information to increase my profits. If you're just starting out in business and looking for a great accountancy service, I would definitely recommend them.
