We have been importing Champagne from Gilles Dumangin for over 20 years during which time his wines have proved unfailingly reliable. Based in the village of Chigny-les-Roses on the Montagne de Reims, we were drawn to Gilles' rigorous attention to detail and desire to produce the best wines he could from his fastidiously-farmed vine holdings.
The improvement in viticulture and wine-making in England in the 21st century has been inspirational, and we are fortunate in having access to two of the finest in our neck of the woods in the West Country.

Whilst holidaying with friends based in Spain in 2015, Tom enjoyed tasting wines from Bodegas Petralanda and, after establishing they didn't have an importer in the UK, we tentatively decided to ship some. Today, their Crianza is amongst our most popular listings; which is gratifying given that we specialise in French wines.

A major three-year building project has now been completed, comprising a smart new chai and bottling line that is a world away from the rustic smallholding we first visited in the early 1970s.
