Point Of Ayr Holiday Park
Flanked by mountains and coastline, our holiday park offers you the chance to relax in your second home and explore the delights of North Wales, all in your own time. The park was established more than 60 years ago by our grandparents and we are proud to say that we are still a family-run holiday park.

We are a traditional static caravan park not far from the A55 in the village of Talacre. We firmly believe in the traditional British family holiday and staying with us is a calm and peaceful retreat, a home from home and a place that makes happy memories. The holiday home ownership entitles you, your family and friends to full use of our facilities.
Services
Point of Ayr Holiday Park was created more than 60 years ago by our grandparents and we are proud to say the family run the park to this day. We are a traditional seaside holiday park open 10 months of the year and we are based in the heart of North East Wales, not far from the beach or the A55, the main road that runs straight through North Wales.
If you are thinking about owning your own holiday home with us, you'll want to know what's in the park. The Point of Ayr Holiday Park's holiday home ownership entitles you, your family and friends to full use of our facilities. Relax with a paper by the pool, be entertained in the Talbot or sit out on our sun terrace soaking up the rays with a cold drink.
We are primarily a secluded, quiet park offering facilities to attend at your leisure and we have plenty of owner events throughout the year too. We now have 3D virtual tours of our holiday homes to give you the true feel of the home without actually requiring to physically walk through one.

Today's holiday homes are meticulously designed, spacious, fully furnished, fully colour co-ordinated throughout and equipped to the highest specifications with fully fitted kitchens, superb bathrooms and bedrooms. There's a holiday home to suit everybody - whatever your taste and budget.
Our nearest town is Prestatyn and a bit further down the coast road you will get to sunny Rhyl. Our biggest and closest city is Chester which is about 40 minutes away by car. We are not a residential park, we are strictly a holiday destination, and always close for 8 weeks every winter. Gosh no, we are in a microclimate here in Talacre so the weather is usually good in the summer months.
We are lucky enough to be within the boundaries of the Clwydian Range and Dee Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). It covers 390 square kilometres of windswept hill-tops, heather moorland, limestone crags and wooded valleys. This area is a walker's paradise and an astronomer's dream. The night skies show crystal clear star constellations and it is known as the best place in the country for stargazing (and UFO spotting).

I was visiting. Hard to gain entry. Roads are narrowed with lots of parked cars and pedestrians, children on scooters. Lots of empty plots. No entertainment. Don't know whether its a pub or club.

Friendly staff, laid back atmosphere. Quiet site, well managed. Talbot bar is an asset. Darren & the team always welcoming, Friday night quiz is a bit of fun & the different singers on Saturday are always good. Different events to suit the calendar & the clientele eg mc Milllan coffee morning fundraiser one month, children’s Halloween another. Vans aren’t sublet so you see familiar faces every week who care about the park.
