Unique to Kernow Kampers we offer our fleet of custom built minidubs, especially imported from Japan, each one is individual and guaranteed to bring a smile to your face; some people have loved them so much they've bought a van off us at the end of their holiday! These smaller vans are ideal for the country lanes of Cornwall and Devon and the clever drop down system provides a cosy double sleeping base in the rear.
As the birthplace of British surfing, Cornwall and a campervan go together like fish & chips! For the classic experience of hitting the surf in a camper with a modern twist our VW surf waggons are ideal. The pop top roof and rock and roll bed means each campervan has two double beds allowing four people to travel in style as they tour the beaches and countryside of the area.

My partner and i decided to hire a campervan to go away for New Year, we arranged to spend a week with friends in the Peak District and they too would hire a campervan as we wanted to be off grid thinking a campervan would make this possible. i wanted to support a local business so we decided to use this company whilst our friends used a company in Plymouth. We chose Marlon so paid up.

Nolan from Kernown Kampers has not done what he has said he would do so many times.
He has told me so many times now that he would refund money but has not yet done so. Even after agreeing to money being refunded he has refused to do it. It was agreed on the 7th of May and I’m writing this review on the 7th of August.
I can only imagine this company is struggling and can’t afford to pay what they have agreed.
It always worries me when companies can’t afford to do what they commit to.
I booked and paid for a camper van on the afternoon of the 6th of May. I was due to fly to Perrenporth

This was our first experience going on holiday in a camper van and also the first time we had visited Cornwall.
We arranged to meet the guys from Kernow Kampers at the airport in Newquay - I don't know how he does it but Nolan is freakishly punctual!
He gave us a tour of Lowena (our home for a week) and sent us on our way.
The following comments are for those new to life in a camper van:
It's not a car - it's much bigger and you really need to use your mirrors as you turn sharp corners. It's very easy to drive otherwise but a little help while reversing is always appreciated.

We hired Marlon, the 2 bed motorhome for 4 nights around Cornwall at the end of April and loved it! No problem with staying warm on cold nights, and the built in toilet and shower were really useful when you didn’t want to use the campsite ones. Thanks to Nolan for flexible pick up and drop off times and locations. Highly recommended!

An incredible way to see Cornwall! I hired one of the minidubs out (Denzil) for a week travelling round and seeing the sites. The vehicles are fun to drive and from the initial booking to dropping the van back, the Kernow Kampers team did everything they could to make my hire as enjoyable as possible, even providing the best routes to tour. Highly recommend anyone to take part in this fab experience.
