By Request is a professional, bespoke, outside catering company and has been so for over 32 years now. At By Request our staff are qualified and committed to providing handmade, fresh food every day. Because we know entertaining, even for those who are experienced is not only stressful but hard work!
Whilst our lists of prices are comprehensive they are not exhaustive due to the many variables involved in outside catering. That said, the lists will give you a very good idea of what things cost and as ever, any queries at all, please contact us. By Request are unlike most other caterers! We are happy to provide sample menus, so you can "see what you get for your money".
Over the last 32 years, corporate catering has been the bread and butter (no pun intended) of By Request's business. Our natural territory for this business is, of course, Manchester. We have had the pleasure of catering for many companies in Manchester and Cheshire, as well as several of the "movers and shakers" in the North West of England.
Wedding catering should be designed around your day, your budget, the venue, the time of year and even the time of day. For example, you don't necessarily want to be eating Thai curry for a 10 am wedding breakfast. By Request prides itself on being able to take all this into account and come up with some delicious menus for you to choose from.
Just in case who were wondering who the sporty good looking guy is in the picture.its the boss, Carl the other is just Ryan Giggs. Used to kick a ball about a bit! We were asked to provide canapes to the film set of Cold Feet to be used in shot in one of their scenes! Documenting our service to the good folk of the North West since 1988 - some of the hairstyles are a giveaway!

Wow! Wow! What an amazing experience by Carl and the team.
I had organized my best friends surprise 50th Birthday meal. Carl had provided the best customer experience ever.... professional at all times!
We had a an evening of fine cuisine in a remote house for 30 guests.
Carl took the stress from the stress from the evening! With his reassuring words and professional manner it left us to enjoy the evening.
Beautiful food * Friendly attentive silver service * and so clean! They had cleaned up after the evening and you wouldn't of known they had even been there! Just fabulous and thank you from

We recently hired By Request Caterers for a corporate event, By Request were able to take care of all of our needs. From the get-go, Carl was able to produce us a menu of canapes that met our budget, dietary requirements and number of guests.

Many thanks to Carl for providing a hot buffet for my wife's birthday party for 34 people. Everyone commented on the food which was delicious, and there was plenty of it . Kim served the food and drinks and cleared away the dirty plates. Carl came back the next day and removed all the dirty plates and leftovers, Carl took all the hard work out of arranging a party. I would recommend By Request to anyone organising an event.

We used Carl & his team for our wedding. Carl was an absolute pleasure to deal with, responsive, professional, flexible with the menu & kept the entire process stress free. The food was amazing, particularly the desserts and there was plenty of it. If you are looking for a caterer I would not hesitate to use this wonderful company, you will not be disappointed.

By Request catered for our wedding of 80 people and 120 for sausage and bacon baps in the evening. Carl was so helpful every step of the way in giving advice and altering meals to fit our needs (and taste buds). He was also very accommodating when it came to needing to change our date due to covid more than once. On the day he introduced himself as we had only spoke on the phone and then disappeared off to the kitchen. A summer buffet for 30 people was no problem for Carl: I picked one of the menus as a starting point, and then we tinkered with it to get exactly what I wanted. Carl offered helpful suggestions, but was not pushy at all. When we had to cancel at the eleventh hour (we got 'pinged'), Carl was very understanding. Luckily we were able to rearrange, and everything went perfectly. Carl arrived promptly, set up with no fuss and left a crate for us to stack our dirty plates in (if we wanted to) so we weren't sitting at tables covered with debris. Many thanks to Carl for providing a delicious fork buffet for our guests at our garden party. We were celebrating our Ruby Wedding Anniversary combined with a couple of missed special birthdays! We wanted to enjoy the occasion and so opted to have a waitress . Gill was excellent and attended to all our guest’s needs allowing us to enjoy ourselves. The food arrived at the time arranged and was put out and cleared away so nothing for us to do. I would certainly recommend to others and hope to use the services again in the future .

Carl was amazing from start to finish. Can’t recommend ByRequest enough as the whole experience was professional. The food was delicious and they made the catering easy. Nothing was too much trouble and they were flexible with what we wanted.
Kim joined us at the event to serve the food and drinks - she was a superstar and I highly recommend this option if you are unsure. We were not going to have someone originally but am so grateful we did.
