The season is drawing to a close and as we approach the business end it is all to play for for many teams at the club. The fourths have already secured the Junior 8b trophy after an unbeaten season, and the thirds can go a long way to joining them as champions if they can close out their season with wins in their next couple of matches.
The seconds are also unbeaten and have a junior cup final on Sunday and some important league matches to complete as they go in search of a league and cup double. The Under 11s have also had success, winning the League Division 1.

Lisburn Cricket Club is the oldest cricket club in Northern Ireland, and the third oldest in Ireland. Established in 1836, we celebrated our 175th anniversary in the 2011 season. Please go to the 175th anniversary page for further information. We are situated in the centre of Wallace Park, which hosts our recently expanded ground and the Cecil Walker pavilion.
Our 1stxi are skippered again this year by top order batsmen Adam Berry. The squad is filled with a good blend of youth and experience which is strengthened by the arrival of our overseas professional, Faiz Fazal and ex-Irish International, Reinhardt Strydom (Reiny's brother Gerry played for the club in 2008 and 2009).
2019 promises to be an exciting year for Lisburn Cricket Club and in particular our youth section. Our first XI captain and vice captain, Adam Berry & Callum Atkinson, have been appointed as our co-youth convenors for the season. We had over 120 registrations on the evening across our four age groups!
On behalf of the Organising Committee of the 175th Anniversary, we would like to thank you all for your support during the anniversary year. It was truly memorable. We have still a number of commemorative DVD's available which catalogue the events of the year. Running for approx 60mins, it includes all photographs taken at our flagship event of the year, the David Lloyd dinner.
Can you remember what has happened in the club from the 150th anniversary through to today? Here are a few reminders. 1st XI escape relegation in a dramatic relegation play off agianst Waringstown @ Comber, with victory secured in near darkness. 2nd XI retain league title. Ground extended realising Cecil's dream and subsequently holds 1st International when Ireland take on Scotland.
