Croston Pre-School Nursery is a registered charity no. 1100800 with over 40 years of experience. We are located in the pleasant and peaceful surroundings of the Grade II listed 'Croston Old School' which is situated in the centre of the village at the end of Church Street and next to the 900 year old church.
The River Yarrow flows past our outdoor play area, and we also have access to The Bishop Chester's Wood in the church grounds. It became a member of the Pre-school Learning Alliance at the same time. The pre-school has had several homes over the years including the church vestry, the Sports Club and the Cricket Pavilion.

Services
We are very proud to have a team of highly qualified and dedicated staff. The day-to-day running of the pre-school is undertaken by the pre-school manager Mrs. Janet Williams and her deputy Mrs. Lesley Littlewood. The manager and her staff work with the children (and parents) on a daily basis and keep the committee informed of any practical needs.
Our curriculum is based on the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). Children start to learn about the world around them from the moment they are born. The care and education offered by Croston Pre-school Nursery help children to continue to do this by providing interesting activities that are appropriate for their age and stage of development.
The pre-school is registered with Ofsted (No502193) and is an eligible provider for Nursery Education Grant funding. Our aim is not to make profit, but to run a special and caring service for our children. Sometimes there can be unexpected cost, such as fixing a fridge, where the fundraising comes to our rescue.
