I have dealt with Peter Minnikin in my criminal case. He was very unsympathetic with situation. His attitude was very challenging and rarely made himself available to calmly explain the procedures to me. When my case was finally over, he tried to claim more money from Legal Aid and the fees were contested. After the final bill he sent, Legal Aid needed a letter from him to state that he would not claim more money against my case which he never sent. When I became aware of this I contacted and informed him they were waiting on a letter or email from him. After several requests he guaranteed me he

Very old-fashioned in communication and approach. They did conveyancing on our house sale and were so bad we changed solicitors for our onward purchase. If you want an old-school solicitor who does everything by post and only communicates with you when it suits them then go for it. One contract got "lost in the mail" and our initial redemption statement was done incorrectly. Definitely not one to use if you're under, say, 50 - might as well go for a budget online-conveyancing companies, they're cheaper and likely care just as much as about clients (e.g. not a lot!) I feel very lucky that I choose Brian Nuttney to represent me at my recent court appearance for speeding. Mr Nuttney instantly put me at ease at what was a very stressful time, undertook a thorough and constructive review of my case and circumstances around it and put forward a well structured and reasoned plea for mitigation resulting in a fine and 28 day ban which at my speed , 117mph, was a better resolution than I had feared.I would happily recommend Brian to anyone seeking high quality legal help.

So, lets get this absolutely straight. McCormicks are certainly not the cheapest lawyers in town. But here's the thing, if you are paying by the hour, do you really want to waste time? Time is money and it will be your money you waste. I just had some sound legal advice from McCormicks, it was not what I wanted to hear, but the facts are, they sorted it out in no time at all, where others might have taken ages. You only ever get what you pay for.
