Starting from humble beginnings, we have grown and grown, developing a reputation for both quality and value, and the business has now seen three generations of our family join. Slate has been used as a roofing material for centuries, and is commonly found on older building around the Doncaster area. Slate is available in a range of colours, but as it is a totally natural material, no two tiles are identical which adds to its charm. A slate roof is not the cheapest option but certainly has a timeless quality.
Traditional associated with industrial buildings, sheet metal roofs are made from metal panels which can either be flat or profiled. The metals used tend to be either steel or aluminium. Steel is heavier but is sturdier and can be coated with a range of finishes, to protect from corrosion and add colour.
Flat roofs used to have a bad reputation, but with the introduction of modern high-performance building materials, flat roofs are gaining in popularity. This popularity is helped by the affordability of flat roofs; a flat roof will help to keep the cost of a planned extension down for instance. A flat roof can also provide addition useable outdoor space such as a sun-deck or roof garden.

Dave and his team fitted our new roof a couple of weeks ago and we cannot praise them enough! From start to finish their professionalism shone through. The whole team were approachable, respectful of property, friendly ( nothing was too much trouble ) and at the end of each day they cleaned up after themselves!! A rare commodity these days!! The roof looks amazing and we wouldn’t hesitate in engaging Parkes Bros Roofing again! 5 star service throughout!

I have used Parkes Bros on two occasions now. They are a fantastic company and would highly recommend. Father, son and all the other guys are brilliant. Very professional and friendly. They took time to look at the at the jobs, explain what the problem was and what they were going to do to address it. They turned up as planned and completed the work. The price was very good value. Because Parkes Bros are so good, you may have to wait a while to get booked in, but definitely worth the wait.

Dave and his team fitted our new roof recently. I can’t speak too highly of them. Very friendly and polite and they showed total respect for us and our property. They do a thoroughly professional job, working in all weathers to make sure we were watertight before the tiles went on. The team he has working for him, including his son Danny are a credit to Dave and his business. I would recommend them to anyone.

Just had our roof replaced by Dave’s son Danny and his team. They did an excellent job at a competitive price. They worked in hail and snow in freezing temperatures to get the job done. We were supplied with before and after photos showing us the extent of the original damage and then the finish of the new roof. They made sure everything was clean and tidy when they’d finished and that we were happy with the end result. We would thoroughly recommend them.
