Services
Anna, Amy and Lisa make up the senior management team of the Centre, they have all been employed at Aberavon ICC for the last 10 years. Their ongoing commitment to the staff, parents/carers and the wider community means they can offer the highest quality care and support required. All staff have key children that they work closely with to reach every child's full developmental potential.
Please ensure all items sent in to the Centre are clearly labelled with your child's full name. We welcome the opportunity for parents/carers to become involved in Aberavon Integrated Children's Centre and to volunteer to help during sessions. We would like parents/carers to help at fundraising events and would welcome the opportunity to have parents/carers on the Management Committee.
A settling in plan will be agreed between the staff and parents/carers which is suitable for each individual child's needs. We welcome parents and children for a number of visits prior to them starting at the centre to familiarise themselves with the staff and their new environment.
During these initial visit parents/carers can ask the centre staff about any queries they may have and essential consent and information regarding their child/children is gathered.A key worker will be assigned to each new child enabling parents/carers to have a point of contact. An individual diary will be provided to log your child's day with us.

It is our aim to foster and encourage an interest in healthy eating amongst the children by offering a variety of foods form various cultures. Since 2012 Aberavon ICC has undertaken the Healthy and Sustainable Pre-School Scheme National Award. The nutrition aspects of the award was completed in 2013 and has been implemented and embedded throughout the centre ever since.
We are an inclusive Centre that welcomes children from all backgrounds and abilities. No child shall receive more or less favourable treatment on the grounds of race, colour, ethnic or national origin, religious beliefs, disability, gender, or any other grounds which cannot be justified. We aim to care for all children as individuals and to meet their needs as an inclusive service, wherever possible.

My daughter has enjoyed every minute of creche at ICC, she has been attending for 2yrs! Every member of staff who has looked after her have been amazing! She has so much fun! I love the fact that they go out for walks to parks etc and do lots of activities outside, this was a deciding factor to me when choosing a creche! I would definitely recommend to others, nothing is ever too much trouble there!

The ICC after school club and holiday club has been an absolute life saver for me. It allows me to work without having to stress about childcare. It’s so easy to book, staff are super friendly and welcoming, they have excellent communication and my son has an absolute blast here. He speaks so highly of the staff and we are both immensely grateful for the time and effort put in by all who work here.

MEANT TO BE A CONTACT CENTRE BUT FEELS MUCH MORE LIKE YOUR IN A JAIL WHILE YOUR THERE AND ITS WAY TO SMALL TO CRAM CHILDREN INTO FOR SUPPOSEDLY QUALITY CONTACT SESSIONS AS THERE IS HARDLY ANY ROOM TO MOVE AND ALSO VERY LIMITED WHERE ACTIVITIES FOR CHILDREN ARE CONCERNED. WE SHOULD EXPECT BETTER FROM CHILD SERVICES SURELY
