Full day workshops in our store with popular topics such as 'get to know your sewing machine or overlocker'.
Services
West End Sewing Centre has been a specialist in the sewing machine industry for over 25 years and has been providing a truly personal service. This family run business believes creativity is not just a hobby but a way of life. West End Sewing Centre is a traditional stop with lots of charm and perfect for the sewing enthusiast.
Our machine service covers tensions, timings, electrical check, cleaning, lubrication and test stitching. We endeavour to return machines as soon as possible but it can take between one - two weeks. Additional repair work or parts will be quoted on assessment before your machine goes into service, ensuring there is not scary bill at the end.
Bernina's reputation for fine design, engineering and innovation continues through their current range. Support is excellent and includes, for most new models, free tuition in London or of course you can join our skills workshops. The current fluctuations in the international money markets mean exchange rates are changing frequently and sometimes by significant amounts so our website Bernina offers may not always be up to date.
We stock a fantastic range of accessories from trolleys and sewing machine cases. To all the little handy extras anyone would need to help them with all their sewing. We don't currently stock these online but have a huge range in our Cheltenham store. If you would like more information, please feel free to call us or send a quick email we would be happy to talk through everything we have in stock.
Our workshops and courses are designed to help you to get much more from your sewing and overlocking. When you come to our sewing studio you will be in a class of no more than four. The workshops are practical and you will learn and practice on your own machine and guided by trained and experienced tutors.

A truly ghastly experience with this shop and it's disingenuous proprietor. All smiles while selling and taking our money but a complete lack of customer service when our new machine was nothing but trouble from the first day. My husband had to threaten the shop owner a Mr. Cox with legal action to get our money back. WE CANNOT RECOMMEND THIS BUSINESS.

I bought a basic sewing machine at beginning of lockdown to make a curtain. I am interested in other crafts too. I felt I should use the machine more. So decided to have a go at quilting. It became clear that the machine was not up to the job and trying to get the right feet was expensive and difficult to obtain. So I went to the shop. They were so helpful, listened carefully to what I wanted and demonstrated the machine which I purchased. It had all the features I required and the quilting feet included. Brilliant. I came home and had a play with the stitches great fun. So can now complete my

Lovely people and a fantastic service. I was able to go in the shop today, thanks to clear social distancing measures - plenty of hand sanitiser on offer and Perspex screens in place, so don’t be scared to visit! I was given demos with comprehensive explanations, very useful for a beginner like me. I am very happy with my purchase, thank you!

As I was looking to upgrade my machine, I wanted to test drive a new one before purchase and 'Westend Sewing Centre Ltd' seemed to be the logical port of call being my local dealer. On arrival at the shop I was greeted by Derek the owner who couldnt have been more helpful. After demonstrating the particular machine I was considering and answering all my question he then invited me to sit and have thorough test of the machine, along with all the capabilities it had to offer. I did not feel rushed or pressured at any time into buying and felt completely at ease. He understood it was a large amount

I went to this shop today to buy my very first sewing machine. I am a complete beginner. The owner (at least I presumed him to be) was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable and even gave me a demonstration on the machine I purchased to make sure I could use it as soon as I got it home. Great customer service and care and offering products at fantastic value for money. I would definitely recommend to anyone and I for one won't go elsewhere in the future. Great little find, one very happy customer

Wonderfully helpful
We bought a new Janome sewing machine from. The owner was very helpful indeed. When a problem developed one week later (which was our fault not theirs) the lady at the end of the phone was wonderful. We were told to bring it straight back and that they would fix it, which they did even though the problem was of our making. Good old fashioned service, what more could you ask for nowadays.

Over the last few years I have taken 3 old sewing machines for a service &/or repair. Although my Bernina was obsolete, he managed to salvage a spare part from another old machine & it has had a new lease of life. The other two are much used & are running well. They sell a very good range of sewing accessories as well.
