Sapphire Water Softeners is a family run business based in Smarden, Kent. The company was launched in 2008 by Chris Dyer, who had a background in installing water treatment equipment for a local company. Taking great pride in a reputation for quality installations and personal service, Chris carries out the survey and installations himself, ensuring continuity from start to finish.
At Sapphire Water Softeners, we specialise in the installation of water treatment products both to stop the problems caused by limescale and to provide fresh-tasting drinking water for homes and offices. Installing a new water softener takes around 4 hours on average depending on the location of your mains water stop tap.
In some areas of the UK the water is naturally soft. Where the underlying geology is mainly hard rock like granite it will be noticeable that clothes are softer when washed and retain their colour for longer. The water feels silky and as a result it is less harsh on textiles than hard water that often feels rough and gritty.
As a general rule we ask that you order more salt when you load your last pack into the softener and that way we have a couple of weeks to deliver before you run out. Once ordered we aim to deliver within a week to ten days but if you do run out completely please give us a call because we may be able to get it to you sooner on request.

From start to finish it was a personal service and you are being advised by an expert who is trying to accommodate your needs as best as possible without charging a fortune for the lost art of good customer service. To top this off, Chris is an absolute gentlemen and just a very nice man who because of his approach we were happy to let work on our property throughout the day without being present at various times.
