All electric air heaters are efficient users of energy. The losses exist in the power station generating system and distribution grid. You only need to record the input power to the heater with a kWh meter to see what heat is supplied to the building. If an electric air heater is used to heat a room, it heats recirculated air until the thermostat is satisfied.
Our Rectangular Electric Duct Heater will control the output air stream temperature to within + or - 1c. Thyristor (pulse) control has superseded thermostat or step control, using time proportioned thyristor 'pulse' control to let through just the right amount of energy to match the set point temperature - thereby saving energy.
Standard heaters made to suit your duct with sheathed elements and fail safe manual reset high temperature cutout. Electric resistance heaters comprise on plan sheathed stainless steel elements mounted in standard ISO duct sizes. Casing is 0.9mm galvanised steel with an airtight seam. Overheat cut-out is fail safe, 120c pre-set, liquid gas type with contacts rated for direct load switching (single phase).
Specifically designed for small Air Handling or Heat Recovery systems where LPHW or Chilled Water Coils are being used. The WVC1 acts as a control panel to control 24Vac 0-10c heating and or cooling valves. This controller is used with a room/exhaust duct air temperature sensor. The set-point temperature is on the face, similar to our TC electric heater controllers.
Electric heaters require a means of detecting airflow to avoid overheating. This was historically achieved by means of a micro switch attached to a paddle shaped plate in the airstream cut to size. Following this, differential air pressure across a flexible diaphragm was used. This method is still used by most manufacturers, sometimes in the form of a circuit board mounted pressure sensor.
