Healing Therapies
The following are the services that I offer, whether it is just a relaxing Swedish massage, Sports massage, Deep Tissue massage, Reiki or Reflexology. Some of these modalities treat injuries at the gym, at home, in the garden or repetitive strain in the office. The body - and indeed the mind - need to be maintained and nurtured to avoid any further injuries and depletion of energy.

In our day to day existence, we are bombarded with negative energies which damage our mind as well as our body. For the physically active person, Massage is not a luxury anymore. Whether it is a relaxing Swedish massage, Sports or Deep Tissue massage, Reiki or Reflexology treatment, you should care for your body as you do with nutrition.
Services
This is a home-based practice run by me in the Reading area. I do my best to create a comfortable and a peaceful setting during all my treatments. You will be asked to complete a brief health and lifestyle questionnaire and this will be done on your initial appointment. Any information you provide will be treated in confidence.
Reiki is a Japanese word, which means Universal Life Force Energy. It is the highest and purest vibration of Universal energy. It penetrates our energy system, also known as Chakras, so that our mental, physical, emotional and spiritual 'network' works in harmony. Reiki promotes deep relaxation and releases blockages within the physical, mental and the emotional systems.
As your Reiki Master/Teacher, it will be my privilege to attune and train you in the Usui lineage of Reiki. You do not need to have an A-level or any college qualification to be attuned and trained as a Reiki practitioner. All you need is the drive and intent to give healing. There are three levels (or degrees) in Reiki: I, II and III.
For centuries, massage has been used to soothe the body and release tension, which keeps body and mind in a healthy state. The earliest evidence of massage in aiding physical health was discovered in ancient Greece by Hippocrates - the father of medicine - who believed that massage or rubbing the body could help in healing problems of the joints.
This is aimed at injury prevention and also to help relax and loosen muscle tissues, which will encourage blood flow and faster recovery. Rehabilitation after an injury which may have occurred during a sporting activity, post surgery referral by a physiotherapist or a chiropractor. Break down adhesions between healthy and injured muscle tissues; reducing stress on other muscle groups whilst they compensate for the injured area.
