Driving lessons or motorbike lessons can be difficult and stressful at the best of times. This is true in any major city or town throughout the UK. The sheer amount of traffic, along with the attitudes of other drivers, makes for a very difficult and often stressful way to learn.
There is enough pressure on you, when learning a new skill, without having to cope with expectations of impatient drivers, swerving cyclists, pot holes, man holes, painted lines, oncoming traffic and unpredictable pedestrians. That's why many people get away from all those distractions and have a mini holiday, where they can learn to drive or ride safety on the race track.

At CBT we provide motorcycle training to all levels of riders. You could be an experienced rider looking to gain more confidence when judging and manoeuvring around corners, or a complete novice looking to do your first CBT. Either way, we can help you to learn at your own pace in a safe environment.
This course concentrates on the finer aspects of cornering, to enable each rider to become more consistent in their assessment and execution of cornering at speed, along with hazard avoidance halfway round corners at up to 100 mph! Bike magazine described the course as "Excellent value for money with superb instruction", awarding the course a five star rating.
Try out different bikes from Yamaha, Triumph, Honda and Suzuki ranging from 700 - 1250cc. This is your chance to figure out which sort of bike is best for you to buy, whether it be a 700cc twin, a 675cc or 1050cc triple, or maybe a 1000cc inline four. You have all day to figure things out with the help of an experienced motorcycle instructor.
All clients lients over 19 years have the choice of starting on a variety of 650 - 1250 machines. No-one can progress onto the motorcycle test without first earning a CBT test certificate. CBT training starts with the basics: on an off road tarmac area, familiarising yourself with the controls of the bike, starting, stopping, slow riding, manoeuvring around cones and emergency stops.

Circuit Based Training Mallory Park are simply unique! Sean and his team are imparting information and giving advice from the moment you arrive ( in fact Sean was giving me the theory of counter steer before I’d even set foot in the building ) Seldom do you come across people who are so committed to teaching.
You are taught on a race track which allows you to get up to speed and build your confidence. The team are phenomenal - for example Guy, an ex police outrider is very relaxed which makes it easy to absorb his wealth of experience. And then Cassie is really encouraging and fantastic teacher

I booked the DAS training for my girlfriend. It was meant to consist of two days on track as per the description on their website. However they only had one day on track which made it difficult to justify why the cost of training here is more than twice what other schools charge. During this track day a lot of time was spent doing emergency stops, figures of eight and other slow speed manoeuvres which can frankly be done anywhere without paying a premium for a racing track. In addition during this one day the track was split to allow a knee-down class. This meant when the group was finally allowed

Considering a 5-day DAS with Circuit Based Training? What are you waiting for – get yourself booked in!
Having had a shocking experience doing my CBT with another training school a few years ago, I was a bit apprehensive about doing my DAS and was on the lookout for a school with a very different teaching approach. I came across Circuit Based Training and did I luck out! Sean was super knowledgeable and thorough in his teaching on and off the bike; Cassie was a super friendly and (much needed at times) calming presence; and Guy was very encouraging and didn’t hesitate to offer me a pillion

What a great set up!
Sean, Cassie and Guy walked us through the basics and stuff Id not have had the opportunity to learn elsewhere, the high speed braking in a bend!
The high speed emergency stops
At some point those skills will need to be used, they gave us the confidence to carry out those actions with in a couple of days of the course start . The team are extremely patient, there’s no rush,
Everyone is well looked after,
Great selection of bikes and top level instruction from stsrt to finish.
I came away with mod 1 & mod 2 passed in 5 days.
Thank you CBT

I booked the 4 day flexible DAS course with Circuit Based Training.
As soon as I arrived and met Sean, Cassie, and Dave I knew it was going to be a brilliant experience - I wasn't wrong.
Safe riding is their first priority. Having a good laugh is their second.
Monday - Introductions to the bikes, handling exercises to build confidence, and some classroom instruction to illustrate important points. By the end of the first day we were counter-steering at high speed round Gerrard's corner. Incredible feeling.
Tuesday - Some classroom instruction and then out on the road to put into practise what

Firstly a massive Thank you to Cassie, Dave, Guy and Sean.
The rest of the reviews speak for themselves.
I did the 5 day Direct Access Training, nothing was too much effort for all of the team.
Everything was broken down into an easy to understand format with a good mixture of classroom learning, instructor examples and then practice on the track.
All the aspects of the CBT, MOD 1 & 2 were clearly explained with plenty of time for mock testing.

I've just got to give a big shout out to the fabulous and dedicated instructors at Circuit Based Training who got me through my mod 1 & mod 2 motorcycle tests last week (phew!). Being able to practice on a race… track is a unique and exciting experience and the team really make it a fun week. Big thanks to Dave (who I can still hear in my head commentating the road), Sean (for the comprehensive explanations), Cassie (for calming my nerves) and Guy (never did get that pillion ride!) and an all round great week.

I did the 5 day direct access course.
This is the only place that you should do your motorcycle training, all the instructors are extremely knowledgable, total experts in there field, explain everything in perfect detail and are really nice helpful down to earth guys that really care.
They don’t just teach you to pass your test, they teach you how to ride for life.
There was 7 people in our group and the level of experience and the learning speeds were all totally different, but the way they set things up is everyone gets to learn at there own pace, so nobody gets held back and nobody gets

Did the knee down course, which was better than another course I did with a different company.
The verbal instruction time and on track time were just right.
I thought the course was a tad pricey, especially using my own bike, but the use of Mallory Park made up for it and I learned more about my bike & its capabilities. A safe environment with excellent road surface and run off (although, to be fair, you're never going that fast to need it) as opposed to an old airfield with broken up surface and no decent radius corners to use.
I achieved what I went there to do; get my knee down, but you

The team at Mallory really are outstanding. They work together to ensure you get everything required to not only pass your test but leave feeling like a competent motorcyclist. Great choice of bikes and no question was too much bother regarding bike, gear or general road trivia.
To put it into perspective day 2 I was on Mallory park race track performing an emergency stop around a corner at over 60mph in the rain. Where else could you learn that other than the hard way on the road under the worst circumstances.
Absolutely 5 star and thanks Team CBT!!!!

100% recommend circuit based training.
I done the advanced cornering course including braking mid bend which in my opinion is one of the most valuable skills you can have on a bike.
I am a pretty confident rider but know there is always more to learn and this course has massively improved my riding skills all round.
All the instructors were amazing, a great bunch to have teaching you.
Thanks to all of you.

Fantastic team of instructors. Motorcycling is a serious business but they make it so much fun and there is such an emphasis on safety and how to ride a bike properly! Had a great week and passed 1st time on a 4 day DAS course. Had some experience which helped but learnt so much from the team! Big thanks!!

Excellent riding school. I split my course over 3 weeks (2days, 2days, and 1day) and even though I didn't get any time on the track (it was booked up every day I attended), I still managed to pass both mod 1… and mod 2 first time! The tuition I received from Dave and Cassy (both spent 2 days with me) was top notch. I started on day 1 having never ridden a motorbike before and now I feel confident in my riding and look forward to getting my own bike! I would highly recommend Circuit Based Training to anyone looking to get their motorcycle licence. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Massive thanks to all the instructers for their hard work. Happy to have passed my motorcycle tests in 5 days, went from inching forward on day 1 to confidently solo riding my way home from Nottingham test centre after passing in the rain and wind.
All the instructers take the time to explain, demonstrate and guide you through not just areas covered on the test but areas that make you a safer rider.
