Oakley Grange Organic Farm, between Hathern and Shepshed, has been farmed by the Mee family since just after the First World War. Times have certainly changed since then and it is now a sustainable Organic Farm with busy Cafe, Delicatessen and private events space in the old Grain Loft. When Richard and Inger Mee took over in 2001 the Farm turned to the organic way of life and has never looked back!
Organic Ingredients From Oakley Grange Farm to Our Cafe Kitchen to Your Plate - Delicious and Healthy!. Part of the De Lisle Estate, Oakley Grange has been farmed for over two hundred years, with the Mee family taking residence just after the First World War. It was in 2001 when Richard and Inger Mee took over from Richard's Father that the process to gain organic status began.

A real hidden gem situated on a working organic farm in the stunning Leicestershire countryside. The cafe is on the top floor of an old renovated farm building with a deli downstairs selling local crafts, organic food and gifts. The service is swift and friendly, worth booking ahead to guarantee a seat. The food is super yummy, fresh and filling and the cake and got chocolate is to drool for 😎.

Very expensive and slow service. But the full English breakfast was delicious. Be prepared to wait at least 45 minutes for food.

My friend and I made a 25 mile round trip to purchase some gift vouchers for a Christmas present for my Dad. We decided to stay and have a hot chocolate and cake while we were there. There appeared to be only one waitress working upstairs and she was clearly rushed off her feet. We waited over 45 mins to be served, the hot chocolate was cold and one of the cakes was dry. I apologised to the waitress as I could see she was busy - She told me to speak to the manager downstairs which I did. At this point I was still considering buying the vouchers as I was gong to ask if this was an unusual waiting

Just had an afternoon tea suitable for a diabetic at Oakley Grange. Could not believe the ammount of fantastic food this involved from 3 different sandwiches, 2 types of quiches, cheese scones and a mixed salad. Just tucking in and hot homemade sausage rolls arrived! We were just saying how are we going to manage all this when our lovely young waitress arrived with fresh fruit salads! Afternoon tea! My goodness we came away with boxes of food for our supper also. Tea room deli on farm setting off the beaten track. Freshly baked bread and scones. Small deli selection. Lovely terrace setting. Good coffee. Lovely (homemade) jams too.

Set in an visually stunning location, looking over the rolling English countryside and maintained cottage style garden, you will find a relax setting to enjoy a coffee and cake. I had the carrot cake, which was moist and tasty- the frosting was spot on.
The hot drink prices are excellent value for money. Generally, the main courses/sandwiches are over priced. Having said this, the food is organic and of a high quality. The sandwich feelings looked amazing!
The service didn't really live up to expectations. The waiter was slow, the tables were not cleared away and he forgot to bring us the water
