Independent designer Lorna Syson founded her studio in 2009 and is now based in Rural Oxfordshire after 7 years at Cockpit Arts, South East London. Her British native species of bird printed fabrics and wallpaper designs draw on her childhood in Warwickshire, holidays in Cornwall, and country walks with her dog, Jenkins, to create her uplifting nature inspired patterns.

Lorna masterminded the design of my shop in Watlington, Oxfordshire. It was my first time ever taking on a project like this and I honestly don't know what I would have done without Lorna. She helped me through the whole process, giving so much more than just an amazing design concept for my shop.
She knew all the right questions to ask and managed to create an absolutely beautiful space that matched exactly what I wanted despite the fact that I wasn't able to coherently communicate what I wanted!
