Quality Swimming Lessons are available in Cwmbran, Newport, Monmouth and Chepstow areas of South Wales. All lessons are run with fully qualified swimming teachers and under lifeguard supervision. Lessons cover a wide range of awards from The Swimming Teachers Association (STA) and The Amateur Swimming Association (ASA) for all ages.
Each class is limited to a maximum of 6 pupils for beginners classes so that each child has an opportunity to receive individual attention and instruction from the teacher. Services
CB Training Services Limited was formed in 2004 to provide opportunities for people to learn basic first aid skills. CB Training Services Limited can deliver and examine courses including the NaRS Pool Lifeguard, Pool Emergency Respponder, Safety Award for Teachers, 3 day First Aid at Work, 1 day Emergency First Aid at Work, Analphylaxis (Epi-Pen), Advanced Oxygen Resuscitation and AED, Pool Plant, Swimming Teacher Training and Safety Courses.

A well-fitting happy nappy must be worn with a disposable swim nappy underneath if your child is not potty/toilet trained (please see Bubble Tots Happy Nappy Policy for further information). There is no spectating during lessons except for viewing week where parents can view the last 20 minutes of the last lesson of each term.
Unfortunately due to our waiting list and limited pool availability, taster sessions is not something we can offer. No, little ones aged 3+ are accompanied by a swimming teacher in the water so there is no need for the parent to go in the water with them. If you are unable to attend a lesson due to illness, holiday etc unfortunately we will not be able to offer a 'catch up' class as you book onto the space rather than per lesson.
Baby & Preschool Swimming Lessons for children aged 0-36 months run in Cwmbran, Newport & Chepstow for just 10.00 per 30 minute lesson (payable in terms of 6-12 weeks). In our lessons we teach children in a gentle approach to such things as water confidence, vital safety skills, survival skills and all the way up to independent swimming.

When we wanted our daughter to learn how to swim, I considered just going and throwing her in.
My wife said to me that’s a bad plan right there,
So we thought maybe lessons would more fair.
We wanted some classes that would not cost too much,
And when we we came to CB he put us in touch,
With some kind, clever teachers who knew way too much,
Well more than we did as we tried to keep up,
with the jumps and the strokes we were fresh out of luck,
So our daughter went solo, didn’t need her old dad,
I wiped back a tear (was the chlorine - not sad!)
She has certificates of Stanley and badges

My son has been attending swimming lessons for over a year with
C B Training. He is happy to go swimming, he has a lovely relationship with all the team there. They’re really friendly. I have noticed he has achieved more badges with them than previous swimming centres. What I particularly like about them is that when a new term starts I continue to keep his position. I don’t need to reapply or lose his place. We continue to stay on the same day at the same time even though he’s advancing which works for us.

Fabulous swim school, we swapped from another swim school after their patience wasn't very good with my nervous son. Since starting with CB training he has come on so much and is much more confident, I also love the fact that we have viewing weeks so we can see just how well our little ones do! Definitely worth the little bit of extra money to some swim schools.

My daughter started swimming lessons in Monmouth as soon as she turned 3. She is very shy and clung onto the teacher for dear life on her first lesson. Chris was so good with her and her confidence has grown so much ever since. All the staff are very approachable friendly. The kids also love getting their certificates and badges. A xmas card and sweets at the end of the year is also a highlight for them. My daughter now looks forward to her lesson and even said last week "mum, I want to stay and swim more". I would recommend CB Training to anyone wanting to get their little ones confident in the

CB training was able to get my son enrolled for stage 1 swimming course at short notice. Everyone has been extremely welcoming and very friendly, my son thoroughly enjoys going swimming each week and his confidence has come on so much. The small class sizes are perfect as each child can get tuition which is tailed to them. Such resonably priced lessons, wouldn't send my son anywhere else to learn. Highly recommended 5*.

Fantastic swimming lessons, I would not hesitate to recommend. My sons swimming has massively improved and I am really impressed with the standard of teaching and variety of lessons. Especially the lady who does the younger infants (I can't remember her name I am sorry, very loud and enthusiastic, my son adores her!) A massive thank you :)

Edward started swimming in over crowded lessons and 1:8/9 ratio with little swim time, that’s when I heard about CB Training at St Johns School. Edward has been swimming for just over a year now and has gained in confidence and ability. The teachers have great patience and have learnt the kids individual personalities which helps them when coaching. I have recommended and will continue to recommend their services!!
