Barefoot Ceramics
We had hoped to sell the business as a going concern so that our 15 years of building Barefoot in to a thriving outlet of creativity and calm could continue with someone else at the controls, but things have worked out otherwise; the Charles Street studio will be closed as of the end of April, watch this space for what happens next.

See the calendar for future pottery events. Make a pot on the potter's wheel at our have-a-go "clay day" on the first Saturday of the month. Throwing throughout the day, 10am - 3:30pm, 15 each, approx. 15 minute sessions. Invitations: Having a party with us? Check out our new pot painting party invitations [pdf, 250kB], suggestions on using them on our kids pottery party page.
Services
Fancy having a go at making a clay pot on the potters wheel? In addition to our usual pottery painting we're now offering you the chance to book in and make your very own earthenware ceramics models, pots and trinkets as well as throwing a pot on the potters wheel. Perhaps you've always wanted to try making a clay pot?
We also have some templates for planning pottery designs ((C) Barefoot Ceramics 2005). This section is to give teaching and management grade staff information about how we can help provide ceramics based activities for school children. We can provide cross curricular activities which take in elements from all sorts of subjects - such as art, history, design & technology and even maths.
We provide corporate events in the South Wales Cardiff, Newport and the valleys, further a-field. Paint a mug with an image that represents your own character - a dragon if you're fiery, a mouse if you see yourself as timid, etc. of course you choose the image and express your inner self. Corporate painting to the max - paint a little and pass it on, whatever you're left with at the end is yours to keep (and cherish?!).
If you were looking for wholesale fairtrade and/or organic goods, like coffee and chocolate, then we're sorry to say that we're not currently offering these (nor eco friendly cleaning products as we have in the past). We'd be happy to pass you on to local suppliers if you drop us an email. Have a positive impact on the wider community, particularly by taking responsibility for all those directly and indirectly in our employ.
We now have a party invitation [pdf, 250kB] that you can print out at home and use to invite guests along. We suggest that you print the invites on coloured paper or card then chop the page into 3. You could even draw a picture on the back. These invites will fit in a standard letter envelope. Barefoot Ceramics can come out to your location too - we offer mobile pottery parties and take-away packages too.

Very very nice people and a really nice idea. The hot chocolate was really good and the assortment of colors for the ceramics was sufficient.

Recently took my two children 12 and 7 and they through a pot on the wheel and painted a model each. Which you pick up glazed about a week later. It's was a brilliant 3 hours. Nice and relaxed good atmosphere and an owner that focus on the children and there experience. She loves her art and sharing it. Will be back soon
