So if you fancy fishing Dungeness and District, welcome to Seagull Fishing Tackle. We are located at Greatstone-on-Sea five minutes down the bay from Dungeness. We are a small friendly traditional shop committed to fishing at Dungeness. Open three days a week for the winter (it pays to phone) we have a good local knowledge which we like to share of the best fishing spots in the area.

We stock tackle and bait; suited for fishing at Dungeness. We welcome everybody, the seasoned expert, the novice with no previous sea fishing experience, we all have to start somewhere! At Seagull we pride ourselves in selling the best bait available, including fresh, locally dug black lugworm and as well as live ragworm.

Fishing Spots Report

A large storm beach wide sands at low water fished over high water. When the surfs up fish for bass on calm summer evenings spin for mackerel or bottom fish for flats. Another storm beach that uncovers on spring tides don't attempt to reach it when you see the red flags/red lights displayed. Firing times are available from the tackle shop or Lydd range control.

The last tackle shop on the marsh :-(. Great shop but hard to support it if its closed!. Ring the shop first if you are planning on dropping in or risk dissapointment.

Shop needs improvement like 10 years ago. C'mon man - clean your shop and put some scented candles inside. Does not take a lot of the effort.

Very friendly and loaded with all tackle, its a very busy shop so to prevent being disappointed give them a call and reserve or it might run out of fresh bait still frozen with quality always available.

19th June - Bought 4 score of Lug from SFT which were all beautifully fresh. I liked the idea of them wrapped in cling-film they kept much better too. I've never come across that before. Usually its in newspaper which, unless you change the paper regularly, dries the worm out fairly quickly. Landed 3 nice size Bass and a few 'throw backers' too.
