The company was born out of a real passion for architecture and historic buildings. Using traditional skills combined with modern technology and an acute attention to detail, we always ensure that our work blends perfectly with existing work whilst complying with the essentials of Health & Safety building regulations.

We have carried out many restoration projects on historic building, churches and listed monuments both large and small contracts. We have long term relationships with carpenters, glaziers and lead workers so that we are able to offer a full restoration service as either a main contractor or specialist sub-contractor.
Services
Herringbone Restoration, established in 2010 is a building restoration and stonemasonry contractor specialised in working on historic buildings and heritage properties. The company is owned and run by experienced and highly motivated people who have a combined experience of 60 years in this specialised sector.
Bringing churches back to their full architectural splendor with specialist compassionate restoration and conservation. Throughout the ages, the glorious architecture of churches and cathedrals has stood as a testament to the faith of their congregation. Naturally, you want to ensure your church is preserved for the enjoyment of future generations of worshippers.
In the repair and conservation of historic glazing, often priceless windows from all periods, including leaded, stained and decorative glass are damaged through vandalism, decay and poor maintenance; our specialist contractors can design and create bespoke new stained glass windows using traditional methods.
Lead has been an integral part of the design and construction of many of our finest buildings since Roman times, providing excellent durability, flexibility and aesthetic appeal. Many of the skills and processes used by our craftsmen today are virtually the same as those used by their predecessors.
We specialise in the restoration and conservation of timber framed roof structures and screens installed within churches. Our extensive experience includes traditional splice repairs or replacement of primary beams, trusses, wall plates, purlins and gutter bases. For church screen repairs, our carpenters can repair or carve new sections to match any existing design.
