For anyone that likes studio pottery, this is the place to go. Bernard Leach must be the most renowned potter and it's fascinating to do the museum tour and see how things were done in his heyday. The shop has… some beautiful pottery by various potters and I have visited several times but I never come away without purchasing something.

Interesting place to visit, earthy toned pottery which is synonymous with Leach, all a little too pricey. Carpark not huge so pick your time to visit.

Only went in the shop area but it's huge! Lots of selection and stunning options to purchase and support artists. Hope to go back for the museum another time. Highly recommend. (It's up a big hill!)

Only the shop opened when I visited in early May but great ambience and fabulous items for a peruse. Prices are good and I bought a mug and a bowl. Classic Leach. I loved it.

Had a lovely tour of The Leach Pottery this morning. The place had a real sense of Nostalgia and an older St.Ives almost forgotten. It was nice to see modern potters still working there today. Well worth a… visit. Most visitors might drive by, but it's only a short walk up the Stennack and great value for the magnitude of the history there + an awesome shop with some nice production pieces 👍

Although we were unable to gain access to the tours we were able to view the remarkable designer pottery available in the shop, they have some excellent pieces, worth a visit, but best to book for the tour.

I could have spent a lot more money but had to restrain myself. Several gallery spaces and a museum to peruse and friendly staff. Will definitely need to make return trip.

A lovely insight into the history of Bernard Leach and his studio, the tour is a bit pricey for what it is, but it was empty when we went and we had the time to watch the documentary narrated by Leach himself and explore the pottery.
The Shop is curated beautifully with lots of pieces from the potters themselves. The lady at the shop was very chatty and friendly.
The walk up the steep hill from St. Ives central is well worth it

Steeped in history and hardcore on the high end art culture while simultaneously being a great place to go to learn about ceramics! It’s a really great place! My family own some early Bernard Leach pieces from when the pottery first opened and my children have really enjoyed some of the clay play sessions aimed at littlies If only I had a bigger house/bank balance because we would gladly home more of the bigger pieces as well as the many smaller pieces that are easier to transport back to grim Coventry
A must visit!

A fantastic place to visit & an easy (if up hill) walk from the centre of St Ives. If you have any interest in art or ceramics, then this is an absolute must visit place of international importance to the development in this field in the twentieth century. If you’ve never really thought about the provenance of the ceramics in your home or how they might be made, but are curious, then this is a good place to start ... and an even better place to start collecting modern ceramics.
