Services
Balmule House has roots - and features - that stretch back for over 500 years, yet it also has an interior designed and crafted with every modern convenience. So while the solid stone walls of this Fife tower house hold the history of every past resident, this is no museum piece. This is a living, breathing home for you to enjoy.
Balmule has undergone an extensive and sympathetic renovation over the past four years. Each bedroom has been refurbished to the highest standards, with most of our beds sourced from specialist bed company, And So to Bed. Eight bathrooms have been added, the majority of which have under floor heating and all have heated towel rails.
Without doubt the most stunning and spacious suite on offer, with large windows looking east towards Loch Fitty and over the formal lawns at Balmule. A "Dickens Style" super king sized bed, high ceilings and a newly installed fully functional wood burning stove set in a magnificent Portuguese limestone fire place make this master suite truly indulgent.
This Superior room is an attractive, spacious bedroom on the top floor (second floor) with views over the lawns and nearby fields. Feature fire place, en-suite bathroom complete with shower and heated towel rail. Each bedroom has its original fireplace and our beds are supplied by specialist bed supplier "And So To Bed".
Balmule House offers you a stay in the Green Room, which is light and airy with king size or twin bed options. The bathroom for the Green Room is situated across the hall, the generously proportioned bathroom is also used by the Mint Room. The bathroom is complete with bath, seperate shower, toilet, bidet, large wash hand basin, under floor heating and a heated towel rail.

We were at a wedding in Balmule House so our experience may be different from a being a guest
The location is rural with some good views across country. The house is Georgian in style and the public rooms have been decorated in a sympathetic style. We were not in any of the bedrooms. The food was very good and they managed to serve fifty guests very efficiently. Note that the caterers were brought in for the event. As we did not stay in the hotel we did not have the breakfast
The staff were excellent. Very efficient and friendly.

My only complaint was I couldn't stay longer, the room I had was perfect the staff absolutely 5* & very helpful & friendly nothing was too much trouble. The house & grounds beautifully done. The perfect place for complete relaxation. Breakfast I had poached eggs cooked to perfection & that's coming from someone who is very fussy about her eggs! I can't recommend Balmule House enough.

My sister was married at Balmule House last Thursday and it was amazing. Stunning house and gardens. Staff were so welcoming and nothing was a problem. Kids and adults had a great time. Lovely memory for me was staying over in the master suit the night before making up flower arrangements, having a laugh and feeling so comfortable in the house. Thanks to Frank and all the staff!
