The SB Series is Star's entry-level range of machines which offer a great way to get started with sliding head technology. The impressive machining versatility of the SB Series helps to improve productivity, whilst the compact footprint and low energy consumption make these machines easy to accommodate and cost-effective to run.
The SR-10J offers efficient, accurate high speed small diameter machining within a compact footprint. Equipped with Fanuc's powerful 32i-B CNC control and a 10.4 colour screen this model is the ideal replacement for cam-controlled lathes. The SR-10J employs a slant-type guideway structure for the platen on the main spindle.
The SB-12R Type G offers impressive machining versatility within a compact footprint. The SB series main spindle platen includes six turning tools, two fixed high-speed ER11 spindles for cross working plus a further three modular cross power driven stations that accept a variety of cartridge attachments.
The SR-20JII Type A improves upon the long-serving SR-20J model, offering increased rigidity, accuracy and versatility through a combination of improved engineering and expanded functionality. Combining a 6-tool turning platen with a 5-spindle cross drilling unit and a 4-spindle back working tool post, the SR-20JII boasts impressive tooling capacity allowing for a huge range of machining options.
The SV-20R combines the fast processing ability of a traditional platen type sliding head lathe with the flexibility of a turret machine. The main spindle benefits from a gang type tool post and an 8 station turret to enable simultaneous machining operations. The turret includes an independent Z3 axis, this axis allows two different features to be machined simultaneously (Z1 + Z3) using Star's "super-position" control mode.
