Lesley soon qualified as a BHS AI and worked with all levels in Course Lodge Riding School, Richhill. Lesley then had a break from riding school work and opened and managed a competition livery yard in Richhill, where she produced several successful young horses and achieved her childhood ambition to compete at the Dublin Horse Show.
On selling her show jumpers she then veered towards some dressage riding and did some eventing for a local equestrian enthusiast, experiencing many valuable training sessions with some very well known top Instructors. Lesley now thrives on ensuring to teach and motivate riders of all ages and experience, and regularly refreshes her teaching skills attending courses and seminars in her field whenever possible.

It is recommended riders wear a body protector when riding, especially when jumping. There are various levels of protection available, with L.E.S recommending you wear a BETA Level 3 body protector. Level 3 body protectors should prevent minor bruising that would have produced stiffness and pain, reduce soft tissue injuries and prevent a limited number of rib fractures.
Our Pony Clubbers also get out on lots of trips, have various talks/demos from professionals and go to small local competitions. It is open to anyone up to the age of 25, and our current pony clubbers welcome all new members.
There are a variety of achievement badges available to study, and these include equine related badges such as Feeding, Bandaging and Rugs, Mucking Out, Handling and Grooming, Saddlery plus non-equine related badges such as Bird Watching, Poisonous Plants, Farming.Pony Club Efficiency Tests enable Members to learn progressively about horse and pony care and riding.
