My name is Dean Painter and I am a freelance IT Consultant specialising in Software Development within the Microsoft environment. My work is in building software solutions that enable businesses to perform with maximum efficiency utilising the latest that technology has to offer. I I have over 20 years experience of working in IT, the last 15 years as a freelance IT Consultant. Working with a client base that ranges from small businesses to larger corporates, my broad range of business knowledge follows from close liaison with Company Owners, Directors, Managers and IT staff.
Each afternoon, Liam Chivers (Civil Engineering) Ltd receive jobs or works orders for the next working day from their client in the form of Excel spreadsheets as Email attachments. Under the control of a user, CIS locates the email attachments and copies each job into the CIS database (previously a 2 hour re-typing exercise) where it can be 'programmed' or allocated to a resource.
