From walking through the doors of RRA as a Part 1 student at the age of 21 and becoming a Director at 27, Mark is now the owner and Managing Director of the company. He strives to ensure the ethos of the business is that of Quality, Integrity and Value. And, that as an architectural company RRA can be relied upon to deliver good design that is functional, achievable and exceeds expectations.
Out of work Mark is an 1873 season ticket holder at Gloucester Rugby, enjoys skiing, golf and spending time with his young family. Following 20 years working in product and graphic design, Rachel now co-ordinates RRA's marketing activities and assists in the day to day running of the business behind the scenes.

Mark and the RRA team did an excellent job identifying interesting and useful renovation opportunities for our property. They listened to our requirements and then added their own ideas and recommended approaches. The team provided clear advice and guidance, ensuring the project received planning permission. We have worked with RRA through our landscape contracting business. We work with lots of architects. The team at RRA gave us clear drawings and direction allowing us to deliver a superb scheme efficiently. RRA architects (Mark Powles) were part of this ambitious restoration project from just after the outset. He prepared the plans (based on historic records for the heritage aspects and creative thinking for the hard and soft landscaping), the tendering documents and applications for permissions, and managed the contractors. The project came in within budget, achieved the heritage restoration and landscaping objectives and was finished much sooner than had first seemed possible. Mark worked successfully with the complications of a partnership made up of a local charity (Friends of Pittville) and Cheltenham
