Haddon Acre is home to a traditional Mongolian yurt, the perfect alternative venue for workshops, gatherings or meetings. Enjoy one of the best views in Oxfordshire in this peaceful spot, located on the south side of the Wittenham Clumps with panoramic views of the Chilterns. You will appreciate the magic of being close to one of the earliest human settlements with the history being literally part of the landscape.
Haddon Acre is surrounded by unspoilt farmland yet conveniently located for the Thames Valley's major towns. The Yurt is also where you will find great music in a unique atmosphere. The performers are almost part of the audience and the thrilling experience is hard to describe. Great connections by road and rail make Haddon Acre easy to access from London or the airports.

Haddon Acre attracts visitors from all over the world. Close to London and Oxford, but set in the rural landscape, the unique atmosphere is inescapable. The Sinodun Hills have inspired artists and photographers for centuries and the Iron Age fort on Castle Hill hints at the history here. Dorchester on Thames was a major Roman settlement and can be reached on foot by crossing the Thames.
The yurt at Haddon Acre is amazing - perfect for running yoga day retreats and meditation classes. I get such lovely feedback from my students about it. Sue and Chris have created something magical here! Can be hired by the hour during the week, Monday to Friday at 17.50 per hour from time of arrival until departure.
Fantastic views are a superb feature of Haddon Acre and you can walk for miles without touching a road. Explore the Earth Trust Nature Reserve, Arboretum and the Wittenham Clumps straight from the yurt door. You can walk to the Thames or historic Dorchester Abbey within half an hour. We might have forgotten to mention we are only about 50 miles from London and very easy to reach by train or car.
The intimate and comfortable setting of our special yurt complements live music sessions. The choice of music is varied; we are fortunate to host exceptionally talented musicians from near and far. Audiences experience the unique vibe of being almost at one with the artists, who in turn appreciate the warmth of performing to a captivated audience.
Most Sat Nav units will find Sires Hill but may not find the precise location of Haddon Acre. Heading on the A4130 from Wallingford continue towards Didcot, proceed past Brightwell cum Sotwell on your left. Take the first turning on the right (Sires Hill) and go up the hill past the turning to Little Wittenham.
