I went for a helix piercing at Judith Hart and it wasn't until I was in the seat that I released they were using a gun. This is very strongly advised against when piercing cartilage as it can cause damage such as scarring or even shattering of the cartilage. In hindsight, I should have stopped the procedure, however, I felt too uncomfortable. They should not be offering helix piercing with a gun, or should at least inform the client beforehand and warn them of the risks. I am also unhappy with the angle of the piercing.
