We (Andy and Fiona Triplow) set up the Old Radiator Company business in Kent in 2000 following an extensive hunt in salvage yards for items for the refurbishment of our Victorian house which needed original features added back.
We toured around many yards to source suitable original cast iron radiators but we were disappointed as these salvage yards were only able to supply the size/styles they have in stock and these were only offered in a lacquered finish.
We realised we were not alone in wanting these wonderful original features to fit into modern central heating system but not wanting to compromise on heat output, style or colour and so the Old Radiator Company was born. Our investment over the years purchasing original radiators leads us to believe we are the largest stockist of original radiators in the country.

We deliver to you in our own transport to any part of the country and can arrange a courier for worldwide deliveries.
The Quoted prices include painting in one of our stock colours please refer to the list of colours in the section entitled Finishing touches. We can colour match any customer specified RAL number or alternative paint company colour from an additional 30 per radiator (50 for the first rad with subsequent rads in the same colour @ 30 each).
Ornate radiators generally come from France but for example the Beeston radiator is British and dates back to 1896. Please see below some of the styles of our ornate and unusual radiators. All of our radiators are original and these radiators are particulary rare. We have an ever changing stock so please check with one of our sales team and based on your requirements we can advise what sizes and styles we have available.
Are the old Victorian and School Cast Iron Radiators compatible with modern central heating systems?. Yes, all our cast iron radiators are compatible with modern central heating systems. On ordering, we will discuss with you the position and size of the valves you require, either 15mm or 22mm. Just leave the rest to us.
We are situated on the Kent / East Sussex Boarder about 45 minutes from the M25. Our showrooms display a cross section of our extensive stock of reclaimed radiators as well as all the different types of finishes we offer. As well as our showrooms we are happy to give you a guided tour around our yard of unrestored radiators.

Absolutely wonderful restored original radiators!
We are so pleased with our radiators - they really do compliment our Edwardian house. The radiators our a fine piece of furniture on their own. They create such a wow factor when entering the room - all our friends have loved them too.
We will definitely replace the rest of our standard white radiator in our house.
Please be aware of many companies on the internet that also sell cast iron radiators - most of these are made in China and are not original and restored radiators like what you will find at - The Old Radiator Company.

Bored with a bog standard radiator? Want something with character and make a feature in your room? Check out The Old Radiator Company then. Amazing stock of old, cast iron radiators to choose from. Very knowledgeable and helpful staff to get you what you want. Easily fits in to your existing heating system and retains heat far longer than the usual type. Highly recommended for something a bit different to enhance your room. Picture 1 in the yard. Picture 2 in my lounge.

I hardly ever leave a review but, in this instance, I felt it warranted it. First of all, the product. I bought two radiators and they are stunning! One of the radiators was powder coated white for our bedroom and the other I spent a bit extra and, had it polished. The finish is beautiful, and is the centrepiece to our living room. The staff were so helpful as I had lots of questions and I could not make my mind up. The girls sent loads of pictures to me and gave advice. I chose the Crane style of radiator and used the valves/brackets that are supplied by the company. They are more expensive than

I sent in 9 very crusty looking radiators to be sorted, absolutely delighted with the result. Communication from the team was first class, the delivery/drop off driver Garry was so helpful and all the rads fixed and working beautifully in a shorter timeframe than quoted. I can fully recommend The Old Radiator company.

On the radiators they've painted them well and the heat they give out has significantly improved. However, they've been painted the wrong colour, returned over a well later than promised, ' lost them for 2 weeks' in their warehouse, bent one so it had to be repaired and then tried to make us pay for their mistake (which is illegal in UK sales act) and been very rude to us. Personally, I wouldn't bother with them, and try to find any one else.
