A Notary Public (or Notary) authenticates and legalises documents, particularly those for use abroad. A Notary's seal and signature will verify to the authorities in that country that the relevant checks have been carried out and that the client's signature is genuine. A Notary will have regard to the legal requirements both of the country where the document is to be used and of England and Wales.

For example, if you are buying property abroad, it is often necessary to give your overseas lawyer a power of attorney to act on your behalf. That power of attorney will need certification by a Notary. Although the level of charges depends on the time taken for each notarisation, I will try to give a fixed quotation wherever possible.

Positive: Professionalism
Did what I needed, quoted in advance. Fees reasonable. Reliable and professional.

The worst notary to deal with. Did not tell me his charges. Refitted the document sent by my lawyer which was for a ledger paper to an A4 size paper and said he charges 195£ an hour and that it took him 2hours to do the fitting on the A4 size. Total scam artist. Did not notorise my documents and was planning to charge me reformat the document.
He was even following me around at my work place to harrass me to pay him for work not done. Guess his surname matches the word harass.
