A beautiful if slightly contrived version of the countryside for Home Counties/London types.
Pros:
- lovely pool and almost empty all the time we were there (not school holidays)
- free bike hire (with toddler carriers too)
- a few decent play areas for kids
- close to some nice beaches (Weymouth very underrated but fantastic)
- good sauna
- stunning scenery; the lakes are particularly beautiful in the mornings and evenings
Cons:
- the airstream/campervan redesigned as a kids area is pretty lacklustre, and absolutely filthy. Doubt it has ever been cleaned, and all it contained was a few

A wonderful place for a staycation. Properties are wonderful and fully equipped for that home from home stay. Lots and lots of activities to keep you and the small ones occupied. A wonderful spa and Joanne… provided the perfect relaxation treatment. “The Island” and in particular it’s zip line over the lake provided great fun for all ages The staff in the hurricane bar were very friendly and attentive. We enjoyed having some Dartmoor ponies join us on our fishing afternoon. Ringstead beach was only a short drive away which had great views and many fossils to be found. We

Absolutely disgusting company. I urge people not to stay here and if you do take photos and videos of everyroom and furnishing possible. This company is absolute scammers it is sickening.
Managers refusing to return complaint calls. Cleaners lying about Staines on a sofa which was never used. The company refusing to provide evidence of the sofa… before our stay. Refusing to provide a full shot/video of the sofa not just a section of it. Apparently this worn, tattered, sun damaged sofa is the same sofa from the image on their website (looks completely different) and is the one we stained

We stayed in number 19, Tally Ho for our first visit to Silverlake. We have been to the sister site in Cirencester many times, this time, we chose to explore a new site and area. Our property benefited from the Activity Pack which meant we could use the site's bikes, canoes, paddle boards whenever we liked; which we all enjoyed. Our house was great: modern, smart and spacious. It was well equipped with everything we needed. The site itself is huge, lots of space to explore. There is on-going building work of the next phase in the background. It didnt really affect us. The Dorset area was beautiful

Fantastic buildings in a stunning setting. Well maintained. So much attention to detail. We were celebrating my husbands 40th and number ‘4’ and ‘0’ candles were left in the draw for us on arrival. We will… definitely be back. Ran out of time to see and do everything. Spa treatments and in house dinning highly recommended. #ourhabitatescape

Coastal luxury in a natural environment: We discovered Silverlake earlier this year and have returned twice already, due to incessant pestering from the kids. The kids adore all the wildlife, the playgrounds and the space and we love the infinity pool and the proximity to the gorgeous Dorset coastline. This is a really special place.
