Services
Our air-conditioned control room is both spacious and acoustically designed. The room has been treated with various absorbers and bass traps to provide an accurate mixing environment. This means you know your mix will sound great both in the recording studio and when your CD is played on other systems.
The Parlour is not just a recording studio, we also offer mastering services. At The Parlour Mastering Studios we can turn your demo into a more polished, commercial sounding record. This is done using subtle EQ, compression and limiting. For CD mastering we use the finest quality hardware to create a polished sound.
Welcome to The Parlour Rehearsal Rooms, Northamptonshire's premier rehearsal studios. The rehearsal studios are located on the same complex as the recording studio in Kettering, just outside Northampton. At The Parlour Rehearsal Rooms we have four fully sound-proofed and acoustically designed rooms.
Neil is the studio manager and in-house Producer / Engineer / Mixer at The Parlour Recording Studio. He has over 15 years experience and specialises in Rock, Metal, Indie and Acoustic music. He has had success with Immicus, Long Dead Signal, Ten Percenter, The Fallen, Awake, Waking Theo, Sympathy State, Doctor Fonda, Black Dogs, Yeltzin, Sacred Mother Tongue, The Chairmen and many more.
Welcome to The Parlour Recording Workshop, a 4-day course for anyone with even the most basic recording skills who wishes to expand their knowledge of recording studio techniques and get hands on experience in a working studio environment using both traditional analogue equipment and the latest ProTools HD recording system.

We (Tableau Mort) had our debut album mixed and mastered by Neil Haynes and we are covinced we've made the right choice. The album sounds exactly like we wanted it to sound.Neil took on board all our comments and had the patience to adjust every tiny bit as per our requests. We will definitely work with these guys again !

After years of struggling to get our LP recorded we finally decided to have it done professionally and got in touch with Neil Haynes at Parlour. Probably the best decision we have made as a band to date!
From start to finish Neil was professional in every aspect and not only was the final outcome just as we had hoped in terms of quality but we also… had a fantastic time working with him.
If we are to record another album we would definitely return and we can’t recommend enough.

We (Ba'al) had the honour of spending a couple days here with Russ Russell, and could not have been happier with our experience. Not only did the studio provide sleeping quarters for us (5 pieces) but we also had access to a kitchen for the duration of our stay.
The production was to the standard of the reputation that precedes it. Were we not talk to like thick people when we did understand the processes, but enlightened and talked through it.
We have already decided as a band to start saving and return when we record more material.

We (Untamed) recently finished recording our third album at Parlour (our previous two were recorded at different facilities) having first looked around to see what other studios were offering – the name Parlour just kept coming back. I had heard the name a couple of years ago and had made a mental note to check them out when we were ready to… record, and I have to say – we were really impressed by the studios facilities. From the full complement of back-line, Drum kit (if needed) Midi-keyboard, Pro-tools and 3, yes - 3 different sets of near-field monitors to check all aspects
