Services
In addition to our core business of laying asphalt surfaces of all kinds, at Manchester Road Surfacing we can offer a full package of groundworks for both public and private clients. From the planning and delivery of new road systems and associated traffic calming to the landscaping of completed schemes, our experienced teams can work with the client to provide a quality service to budget and on time.
In addition to carrying out contracts for our clients, at Manchester Road Surfacing we can offer a plant hire service using our Dynapac 350 planers. Each machine comes with an experienced operator and is available for short-term or long-term hire, 52 weeks a year. For removal of planings and other site materials, at Manchester Road Surfacing we have a number of Hino eight-wheeled grab wagons, which can be hired with a number of body variations.
Tarmac laying - or tarmacking - is the process of laying a mixture of tar and aggregate onto a road surface and then compacting it with a roller. It is often thought to be a process developed by John Louden Macadam, a Scottish engineer and road builder born in 1756; however the process refers mainly to a way of ADDING tar to a Macadam surface, which itself was suitable for horses and not mechanised vehicles.

Manchester Road Surfacing have done and INCREDIBLE job in Whalley Range. We live on an unadopted road so the 8 houses on the street clubbed together to have the road resurfaced. Pre-resurfacing the road was full of potholes, drainage was a real problem, grids were blocked and cobbles were popping up all over place, it was like a dirt track. MRS took on this very tricky project, took time to really work out how to solve the engineering challenge and delivered a beautiful perfectly cambered road. All 8 houses are delighted! I"d highly highly recommend MRS.
