Scotton Garage is an independent, family run garage and DVSA verified MOT testing centre based in Lingerfield, about two miles from the centre of Knaresborough, North Yorkshire. Founded by Simon York in 1997 we have over 90 years of combined experience in the motor trade. Following in Simon's footsteps, the garage is now run by Toby York, Simon's eldest son.
We are one of the largest DVSA verified Class IV MOT Testing Stations in the Harrogate and Knaresborough area, undertaking MOTs on privately owned vehicles (cars and vans up to three tonnes). We have a modern, fully equipped testing station, enabling us to meet the highest standards possible to keep our customers safe and legal on the road.
We service all makes and models of cars and vans - providing the vehicle can fit in our workshop! We will never carry out any additional work without first contacting you, so there is no need to worry about unexpected charges. On completion of the service we will advise you of any additional work required as specified by the manufacturer.
We also offer cleaning and routine maintenance to keep your car in ship shape. Why not treat yourself to a valet whilst your vehicle is already booked in for a service or MOT? Our valeting services range from a quick wash and hoover to a full valet including alloy wheel deep clean, paintwork decontamination, glass clean and polish, wax, hoover, leather treatments, fumigation, upholstery shampooing and tyre dressings.
