Established over 40 years ago, Mitras offers a complete service for the design, development and supply of composite components. Our core competences in both Compression Moulding of SMC and Reaction Injection Moulding of pDCPD allows us to offer a broad range of volume and tooling options.
In our 40 years of operation, we have supplied globally to many OEM customers in the Automotive, Off Highway, Truck, Rail & Industrial markets with class 'A' components and assemblies.Both of the above moulding processes are complemented by our added value capabilities including CNC and robotic routing, bonding, final assembly and 'A' class painting utilising our robotic paint facility.

We offer a complete range of added value services from mould only products to A class painted assemblies. The moulding of SMC involves the compression of a glass and resin "pack" in a heated tool. The combination of pressure and heat means the material forms three-dimensional covalent bonds between polymer molecules.
