No - Aqua Pond Paint is self-priming as long as the surface to be coated is sound i.e. No loose concrete/cracks etc. If there is please refer to the "Prep your pond" section. For rough or porous concrete add 10% water to the mixed paint for the first coat, as this will fill in any small holes etc. Then apply a second coat of paint as normal.
