Try this simple 'bounce' test. Press down on one corner of your car and let go. Count the number of bounces before the car comes to rest. If the car bounces even twice, your shock absorbers are faulty and should be checked straight away. The law states that in order to be legal a tyre must comply with a number of requirements. These requirements range from what the manufacturer must be responsible for - relevant sidewall markings etc - and what the motorist should be responsible for - correct fitment and condition of tyre, tread depths etc.
