Most new guitars are not properly set-up by the factory or by the shop you bought it from, so you're probably not getting the best out of your guitar right now. But help is at hand - I've been professionally repairing and setting-up guitars since 1999, and just about every conceivable problem has come across the workbench.
It's a sad fact that modern guitar manufacturing misses out the crucial step of properly setting-up the instrument. You could easily pay thousands of pounds for a guitar, and still not get a properly set-up instrument. How do I know? If you've never had a pro set-up before, you are in for a treat, because every chord and note is easier to play when the guitar is properly adjusted.

I have been playing the guitar for over 40 years. Now I am really learning to play it. Neil’s methods are very different, and you need to practice hard to get the full benefits. I wish I had started sooner. A great teacher, so, if you really want to understand the instrument, and learn how to play it properly, get yourself some lessons here.

I bought a new guitar that needed setting up a friend of mine recommend Neil so I went to see him had a lovley coffee I told him about the level I was at in 5 mins he helped me and so now I'm looking forward to my first lesson. Two days later I dropped my guitar of a text later that evening informed me it was done I am delighted with the result much lower action easier to play oh yea it sounds great aswell. Thanks Neil

This guy can make sense out of the nonsense that is often talked about when learning to play a guitar. I have no hesitation in recommending him.
