Gowanbrae self-catering Report

Upstairs are 2 large bedrooms, both with super king double beds (or 2 standard single beds - 90cm wide) exposed beams and views across Loch Indaal. Both bedrooms shared the 1 bathroom with a walk in shower with rainfall shower head. Downstairs is a fully equipped dining kitchen, living room with sofa and armchairs, and satellite TV, utility room with laundry facilities and additional toilet with wash hand basin.

With free cancellation up to 7 days before arrival, with full payment taken 3 days before arrival. If you cancel with less than 3 days notice payment in full will have been taken.

Loved everything about my stay here! We were met bey our wonderful hosts with a warm and warming welcome late in the evening, which was a perfect start to the tour of the island. Breakfast was fantastic and… laid the perfect foundation for the many distillery tours, and if those tastings weren’t enough there were complimentary drams in the spacious, comfy rooms. I have to mention to locally produced super nice toiletries - wish I had bought some to take home with me. Thank you for a fantastic break on Islay, I am looking forward to returning as soon as I can!

We had the Bowmore Room, and this B&B has more generous amenities and well-appointed rooms than many 4-star hotels. One of the nicest hotel stays we have ever had, especially the warm welcome from Andrew and Alison, and the stunning sunset ocean views from our room. Amazing stay👍👍👍

We stayed 3 nights at The Bowmore House with Scottish Routes on the Islay Whisky 4 day tour. We were not sure what to expect during these difficult times and, to be honest, were nervous especially as the island, at time of typing, have no reported cases of COVID19, We did not need to worry, Bowmore House thought about every thing to ensure social… distancing and safety were achieved. Faultless. Our group occupied the 5 rooms and we did not hear a single negative comment. Breakfast delivered to our rooms was perfect, the food was hot, delicious and a perfect start to a day of drinking whisky

Enjoyed a 3 night stay here and it was absolutely fantastic. Andrew and Alison are great hosts. A lovely large suite with a fantastic view was extremely comfortable. Breakfast was really good with plenty of choice. Andrew was extremely helpful with suggestions of where to go with lots of useful information. I would definitely recommend staying here and look forward to a return visit in the future.
