We have recently revamped our lounge and I wanted something really special. We purchased 3 pieces of original and stylish furniture and I am so happy with the end result. Richard and Alex helped us pick the fabric, style and dimensions in a really interested way. We are on to our next project now and will definitely be back for more.

I ordered my original bay sofa 7 or so years ago, it couldn't have been more perfect. Richard, the founder of Wawa, is one of the nicest people I've had the pleasure of meeting. He made the choosing process very easy providing options that fitted my criteria and beyond. I recently had my sofa reupholstered by Richard, because only his magic touch would do! We opted for a lemon yellow fabric by Kvadrat - I've since had people begging me to sell my sofa! Flawless, flawless service. I even had fabric swatches delivered to my temporary address in Beirut, Lebanon! Now, if you, like me, care about customer

I had been looking for a designer sofa for a few months, something that was understated but stylish and unique. I wasn’t interested in an ‘off the shelf’ sofa, I wanted to put my stamp on the office and it was only when I was introduced to Richard Ward’s designs and Wawa that I felt I had found the right one. I opted for the Yasmin Doppio and couldn’t have chosen better. The build is exceptional, the design beautiful and feel and comfort superb. Many thanks to Richard for his patience, advice and quality product, I look forward to purchasing a new addition soon.

It started with an idea. A dream to design my own modular sofa. But I had no technical knowledge and a tight budget. From the first meeting, Richard helped me think through options, fabrics, colours, why something was a good or bad idea. Richard and his expert team stayed involved throughout the process, asking questions, letting me see and feel each piece as it took shape. That was 14 years ago. The style remains as fresh today, the construction robust.
I can only hope I continue to age as gracefully as my furniture.

Wawa's East London showroom, located on Ezra Street just a stone's throw away from Columbia Road makes a welcome change from identikit Ikea furniture and the sometimes boring simplicity of much modern design.
