We will be competing in Fevas. We did have a full team lined up, unfortunately one of our young sailors has injured himself and is no longer able to sail! It seems very quiet at the club this week! With children returning to schools we have very few lessons this week, so we are carrying on with the tidying up! All that will change next week when most of our school groups return!
Services
We are Spinnaker Sailing Club, an inland sailing club based at Blashford Lake, near Ringwood, Hampshire, on the western edge of the New Forest. Our lake was initially formed as a gravel pit, later becoming a Wessex Water reservoir. It is now an area of great natural beauty, and a part of the 189 hectare Blashford Lakes Nature Reserve.
We have always been known as the "Family sailing club in the New Forest". Our unique location on a beautiful but accessible lake makes our Club a fantastic place to sail wether you wish to learn, race or just mess about in boats. We welcome anyone to join the Club irrespective of age, gender, ethnicity or sexual orientation; and through our associated club New Forest Sailability: disability need be no barrier to sailing.
Spinnaker Sailing Club is an inland water sports club, primarily focused on dinghy sailing. We are located at Blashford Lake near Ringwood, Hampshire, on the western edge of the New Forest. The lake was originally a gravel pit before being modified to a Wessex Water reservoir. Since then it has become an area of phenomenal natural beauty and part of the 186 hectare Blashford Lakes Nature Reserve.
No matter how the times change, Spinnaker Sailing Club will always be a Member's Club at heart. This means we would not be able to function without input from volunteers. All Club Members are expected to volunteer where applicable, we have many 'duty' options, and should you have acquired a special skillset, sailing related or not, you could be of great help to the Club!
You are free to sail any dinghy on the lake as long as it is a monohull of less than 5 metres length and has a PY number no lower than a Fireball. However the Club has adopted certain classes as particularly suitable for racing on the lake. Generally these are classes that have stood the test of time or that appear to be a good choice for the lake.

Great place for sailing, kayaking, canoeing and other water sports.
Ideal for the family, as it offers all sorts of activities for the children.
The fees are very reasonable and includes a lot of services and also discounts on the activities.
There are plenty of different courses for all ages and stages of knowledge.
The people are very friendly and eager to help with any issues.
Overall, a great place for the family if you are interested in watersports!
