Would prefer lower charges.
Also regular statements do not give date of original purchase, so not easy to compare performance.
On medium to long term basis, investments have provided a reasonable return.
But some concern over newspaper comments about charges and use of the 'Wealth' recommendation lists.

I have been using HL since before they went public.The only place I could find who would take over a small, very small, ISA, or it's forerunner, from the previous administrator, who were stopping. Can't remember the details now.
Always had instant response from them, never any problems.
My only regret is that I did'nt take up my wife's share allocation when HL went public.

I have dealt with these guys for ten years and the service, which used to be good, has become utterly decrepit over the last couple of years. They take forever to respond to anything and are not even remotely proactive - if you don’t stay on top of them they won’t do anything at all. I would not recommend these guys. I’m currently shopping for a better-quality broker.

I have been waiting to withdraw my money and close my account for months. They insist on physcial copies of my bank statement and passport sent to their address. They verified my bank statement last month and since then I've sent my passport which has also been checked. Now they are saying the bank statement they had already confirmed as my address is no longer valid because it is over 3 months old. Beware when closing your account with them.

I have a HL SIPP and also use the Active Savings Hub more recently. From a customer service POV HL have always been great, very accessible over the phone and helpful. The App is very easy to use although I’m sure there’s more I could do on it that I don’t! I also enjoy the bite size articles that I’ve opted to get sent to my email. Thanks HL.

The few times I have had to telephone the company, my queries have always being clearly and efficiently answered, especially about SIPP withdrawals/drawdown. HL may be more expensive than other brokers, but their customer service, so far for me, has been worth it.

Just been reading through all the negative reviews and boy there is a lot! Many echo my experience. I’m still trying to transfer an old pension to my HL SIPP, what should of taken a couple of weeks has taken months! And when I call or email them I just get apologies but nothing seems to move and then when I finally thought it was resolved HL return the transfer out forms back to my original pension provider with stupid basic mistakes, so the process starts again! You really need to sort yourselves out or at least get a better admin team. For the fees you charge this really is unacceptable.
